Exploring bespoke fabrication through woodworking and joinery.
Construct Lounge Chair
Inspired by The Russian Constructivist Movement of the 1920s, the Construct Lounge Chair uses simple geometric visual principals to create a clear hierarchy between the different chair elements. The walnut seat pan and back support are contrasted with aluminum legs to establish a dynamic stance. The chair was designed and built over the course of five weeks for “Fundamentals of Joinery: Furniture Design.”
Crossroads Coffee Table
Often in life we reach decision making intersections with no clear path to take. Inspired by this, The Crossroads Coffee Table incorporates a bisecting leg structure, made out of cherry, whose arms extend and protrude through the top surface. This surface, made out of white oak, contrasts with the rectangular end grain of the legs to create simple and inviting visual elements. The table was designed and built over the course of five weeks for “Fundamentals of Joinery: Furniture Design.”
A wine rack created by steam and vacuum bending several layers of mahogany veneer. Designed and built over the span of three weeks for "Fundamentals of Joinery: Furniture Design."
